Winona Lee (Sanders) Cardwell

Winona Lee Cardwell, 77, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Monday, May 15, 2023 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.  The Glasgow, KY native was a retired employee of Universal Leaf Tobacco Co. in Richmond, VA, a member of Eastside Baptist Church and former member of Cedar Cross Missionary Church.  She was the daughter of the late Edgar Brooks Sanders and Marjorie Holder Sanders. 

She is survived by 1 son:  Don Bradley Cardwell, Bowling Green, KY; 

1 daughter:  Amanda Lee Cardwell (Roger), Corpus Christi, TX; 

3 grandchildren:  Kurstin Cardwell, Michael Gurske and Madelynn Gurske; 

2 great grandchildren:  Ripley Grace and Flynn Joseph. 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Holland officiating and burial in Cedar Cross Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
