Willie Mae "Tootie" (Meadors) Russell

Willie Mae "Tootie" Russell, 85, of Fountain Run, KY passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at her residence.  The Wixtown, TN native was a homemaker and former employee of Danny Adams Drywall and a member of Fountain Run Baptist Church.  She was a daughter of the late Hershell Odell "Fish" Meadors and Edith Elizabeth Wix Meadors and wife of the late Bobby Eugene Russell. 

She is survived by 1 son:  Gordon Russell, Fountain Run, KY; 

3 daughters:  Virginia Gaw and Shelia Simmons, both of Fountain Run, KY and Darlene York, Tompkinsville, KY; 

4 brothers:  Billy Joe Meadors, Lafayette, TN; Bobby Wayne Meadors, Fountain Run, KY; Cordell Meadors and Jackie Meadors and wife, Samantha, all of Scottsville, KY; 

4 sisters:  Margie Yokley, Fountain Run, KY; Carolyn Goodrum, Scottsville, KY; Rosie Thrasher and husband, Jimmy and Elaine Banks, all of the Amos community; 

4 sisters-in-law:  Pauline Meadors, Mary Meadors, Virginia Russell and Joyce Martin; 

A special friend:  Terrell Anderson, Tompkinsville, KY; 

14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren;

Several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers:  Forest Wayne Meadors, O. L. "Goober" Meadors, Hoover Meadors and Hershell Meadors; 1 sister:  Virginia Ann Meadors; 1 great grandson:  Keton Parrish; 1 great great granddaughter:  Ansley Walker; 3 sons-in-law:  Billy York, Mike Gaw and Michael Simmons. 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Field Full Gospel Church with Bro. Michael Smith officiating and burial in Highland Cemetery.   Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Field Full Gospel Church.
