William Depp "Billy" Martin, 79, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in Glasgow, KY. The Etoile, KY native was a farmer, a Special Olympics volunteer coach, former employee of J. & L. Marker and member of Grider Memorial Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Tom Martin and Daisy Lavanna Key Martin.
He is survived by his longtime companion: Barbara Scott, Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Willie Martin and wife, Patty, Glasgow, KY;
1 step son: Donnie Scott, Scottsville, KY;
1 step daughter: Melissa Scott, Scottsville, KY;
3 grandchildren: Braxton Whitney, Jezzie Whitney and Cassie Whitney;
2 great grandchildren: Hazelee Maynard and Samuel Whitney;
5 nieces: Kathy Spradlin, Glasgow, KY; Vickie Johnson (Paul); Pat Witcher (Louie); Lisa Meador (Steve) & Tina Ploughe (Bryan), all of Scottsville, KY;
3 nephews: James Thomas Martin, Jr., Glasgow, KY; Joe David Martin (Penny) and Russell Davis (Patricia), both of Scottsville, KY;
He was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Victoria Martin; 2 brothers: James Thomas Martin and Virgil Martin and 1 sister: Lizzie Davis.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Richey officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday and after 8:00 A.M. Sunday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
