Wayne Weaver

Wayne Weaver, 82, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.  The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of A.O. Smith, former employee of Scotscraft and General Electric, a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church since 1950, where he served as Deacon, Church clerk for 32 years and former Sunday school teacher, Allen County Historical Society and 50 year member of Halfway Lodge #852 F & A.M.  He was a son of the late Mitchell Weaver and Gladys Spencer Weaver.

He is survived by 1 sister: Betty Ross and husband, Daniel, Lexington, KY;

2 nephews: Charles Weaver, Louisville, KY and Aaron Ross, Lexington, KY;

2 nieces: Rebecca Lee, Frankfort, KY and Heather Ross, Chicago, IL;

Several great nieces, great nephews and cousins;

He was preceded in death by his biological mother: Glysh Spencer Weaver and 1 brother: Darrell Weaver.

Private family graveside will be 12:Noon Tuesday at Liberty Cemetery with Bro. Charlie Ausbrooks and Roger Towe officiating.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Liberty Baptist Cemetery Fund and Allen County Historical Society. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.  The family request if you are attending to PLEASE wear a mask and social distance.
