Wayne Jackson, 83, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. The Indianapolis, IN native was a farmer, retired truck driver for Consolidated Freight, a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday school superintendent, Graham Lodge #208 F & AM, Allen County Cattlemen Association, Chairman of Allen County Water District Board for 15 years. He was a founding member of Cedar Springs No.2 Volunteer Fire Department where he served as former Fire Chief and former member of Cedar Springs No. 1 Volunteer Fire Department. He was a son of the late William Edward Jackson and Eliza W. Wood Jackson.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Doris T. Jackson, Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Eric Jackson and wife, Deanna, Scottsville, KY;
1 brother-in-law: James Buel Tinsley, Scottsville, KY;
2 granddaughters: Erica Cockrill (Jarrett) and Averie Pitchford.
1 great granddaughter: Jolie Kate Cockrill.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Doolin and Bro. Billy Moran officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 7:00 A.M. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Cedar Springs No. 2 Volunteer Fire Department. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
