Virginia (Shipley) Stone

Virginia Shipley Stone, 84, of Scottsville, KY passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Cal Turner Rehab and Specialty Care.  The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker, former employee of Scotscraft and Dollar General and member of Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Church.  She a daughter of the late John William Shipley and Vonnie Celia Hood Shipley.

She is survived by 1 daughter:  Karen Shockley Davis and husband, Bob, Lexington, KY; 

2 brothers:  Billy Shipley and wife, Roxie, and Ray D. Shipley, all of Scottsville, KY; 

2 grandchildren:  Justin Gibson (Laura) and Jaclyn Gibson; 

1 great granddaughter:  Ava Grace Gibson and 

4 nephews. 

She was preceded in death by 1 sister:  Christine Payne and husband, Estill. 

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
