Theora Maxine (Hill) Wade

Theora Maxine Hill Wade, 96, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care.  The Claypool, KY native was a homemaker, former nurses aide at Allen County War Memorial Hospital and member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a daughter of the late George Columbus Hill and Bertie Sledge Hill and wife of the late Allen Jesse "A.J." Wade.

She is survived by 1 son: Timothy Wade and wife, Darnell, Scottsville, KY;

1 daughter: Theresa Anderson and husband, Darrel, Edmonton, KY;

3 grandchildren: Sarah Davasher-Wisdom (Dr. Rodney Wisdom); Nathan Davasher (Sheena) and Bonnie Sue Anderson;

4 great grandchildren: Landon Davasher, Aaron Banter, Elena Turner, Axle Turner and one unborn great grandchild: Siya Grimsley.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Noble Hill and Ernest Hill; 8 sisters: Lola Pearson, Hallie Haskins, Ottie Oast, Beatrice Hatcher, Mary Osborne, Katie Moody, Eunice Mayhew and Dorothy Hardcastle.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Dyer and Bro. Ricky Huff officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday and after 7:00 A.M. Friday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hosparus.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
