T. J. Korbel, 67, of Holland, KY passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. He was born in Blue Island, IL, raised in IL and AL, joined the U.S. Air Force and retired after 23 years. He worked as an employee of Pamida, Cash Express, Lowes, Amazon delivery and attended Cross Wins Church in Franklin, KY. After retiring from the military, he returned to Scottsville, KY in 1998, enjoying with his wife gardening, raising sheep and goats and many other hobbies for 27 years. He was raised by Lattie Eugene "Papa Gene" Moody and his mother Joan Marie Collette Moody.

3 sons: Chris Korbel (Wendy), Lilburn, GA; Nic Korbel (Cat), Fountain, FL; Aaron Korbel (Leasia), Scottsville, KY;
8 daughters: Kelli J. DeBoer, Fountain, FL; Kristina Howard (David), Gallatin, TN; Kelli N. Korbel (Jay) and Kathi Jo Korbel (Cole), all of Bowling Green, KY; Krista Patterson (Sam) and Kayla Anderson, all of Clarksville, TN; Katie Woodward (Daniel), Glasgow, KY; Rebecca Korbel, Belding, MI;
3 sisters: Samantha Bandstra (Larry), Dalzell, SC; Vanessa Williams (Travis), TX and Syndee Rice (Randy), Adolphus, KY;
24 grandchildren: Hayden Bell, "A.J." Korbel, Jacob Korbel, Kaelen Korbel, Tessa Korbel, Thaddeus "Jack Jack" Reum, Tristin Korbel, Allana Korbel, Nolan Korbel, Braxton Reum, Caohdan Korbel, Zoey Woodward, Molly Korbel, Emmabeth Markel, Addie Woodward, Andrew Howard, Dylan Korbel, Elijah Satterly, Annaleah Willis, Cecelia "CeCe" Patterson, Rosalee Woodward, Valentina "Tina" Satterly, Isaiah McFaden and Aubrey Anderson;
12 nephews, 8 nieces and numerous others whom he loved as his own children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his 18 year old son: Anthony John Korbel; a brother: Thomas Korbel and a sister: Susan Christian (Harold).
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Graves officiating and burial in the Clifton Cemetery with military honors by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Clifton Cemetery.
