Sylvia Nell (Hunt) Cherry

Sylvia Nell Cherry, 81, of Adolphus, KY passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 at her residence.  The Scottsville, KY native was a former employee of Washington Overall Manufacturing and Sumitomo, a member of Oak Grove General Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher.  She was a daughter of the late Winford Odell Hunt and Lola Edna Walker Hunt and wife of the late Charlie Lee Cherry.

She is survived by 2 grandsons: Charley Cherry and wife, Kayla and Marcus Cherry, all of Adolphus, KY;

3 great grandchildren: Ryon, Tyler and Alli Cherry;

2 sisters-in-law: Linda Cherry and Brenda Bell and husband, Webb, all of Adolphus, KY;

Several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1 son: Mark Cherry and wife, Darlene and 2 brothers: Jimmy Hunt and Roy Hunt.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Herrington officiating and burial in Oak Forest No.1 Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 7:00 A.M. Thursday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
