Sue Oliver Erwin, 74, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired teacher at Monroe County High School where she taught for 34 years, a former teacher at Western Kentucky University and a part time teacher for Allen County Scottsville High. She was a founding member of Meador Homemakers, member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she formerly served as Sunday School teacher and past president of the Meador Homemakers and Allen County 4-H Council. Sue has served as a volunteer in Allen County 4-H for over 50 years, serving as a club leader, workshop leader, school program volunteer and so much more. She was a daughter of the late Ardis Raymond "A. R." Oliver and Adella Florene Beller Oliver.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years: Kermit Ray Erwin, the Meador Community;
3 daughters: Kristy Ruble and family, Lyle, MN; Kandi Erwin and son, Newton, IA; Kimberly Erwin, Bowling Green, KY;
2 brothers: Ferrell Oliver and wife, Paula, Scottsville, KY and Arles Oliver, Radcliff, KY;
1 sister: Louise Perry, Scottsville, KY;
1 brother-in-law: Roger Pitchford, Scottsville, KY;
Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Ruth McIntyre and Shirley Pitchford.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Darrick Proffitt and Bro. Joey Green officiating and burial in New Hope Cemetery with Bro. Doug Pitchford officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 8:00 a.m. Sunday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
