Shirley M. "Grandma" Foote Walder, 94, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at her residence. The Aurora, IL native was a retired employee of Western Electric and former employee of J. H. Armbruster & Company and Illinois State Police and Soil Conservation Office. She was a daughter of the late Fred Edward Foote and Rose Mabel Steging Foote and wife of the late Verland Ralph Walder.
She is survived by 1 son: Dr. Lon Walder, Eagle Pass, TX;
1 daughter: Rev. Beckyann Ploughe and husband, John, Bean Station, TN;
1 brother: Richard Eugene "Dick" Foote, El Paso, TX;
11 grandchildren: Bryan Ploughe (Tina), Tammy Amader (Carlos), Valerie Green, Greg Walder, Aubrey Stiennen, Jeffrey Walder, Jeremy Walder, Jared Walder and William Robert Ploughe;
Several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: William Ralph "Bill" Walder and 2 sisters: Maxine Marguerite Ellis and Lona Merle Dodge.
There will be no visitation or service. Cremation was chosen and Goad Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
