Shirley Meador Hogue, 86, of Franklin, KY passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 at her residence. The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker, former employee of W. T. Grants, Dillards, Castner Knotts, Roses and Union Underwear and member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a former Sunday School teacher. She was a daughter of the late Raymond Boyd Meador and Ruby Dell Richardson Meador and wife of the late Noble Earl Hogue.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law: Angela Hogue, Franklin, KY;
1 brother: Felbert Meador (Sandy), Scottsville, KY;
3 sisters: Janie Henson, Joyce Scott (Donnie) and Brenda Qualls, all of Scottsville, KY;
3 grandchildren: Ashley Hogue, Melissa Taylor (Jeremy) and Brad Hogue (Allison);
2 step grandchildren: J. J. Gregory (Noel) and Malorie Gregory;
11 great grandchildren: Kamdyn Patterson, Rowyn Taylor, Jada Taylor, Emma Taylor, Nolan Hogue, Harper Hogue, Ava Gregory, Easton Gregory, Gracelynn Gregory, Khloe Flatt and Laila Williams;
Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 sons: William C. Hogue and Timothy Ray Hogue: 4 sisters: Earline Wade, Aline Woods, Carolyn Sue Sisco and Velinda Lou Meador; 4 brothers: John Meador, Coy Lee Meador, Tommy Meador and Willie Boyd Meador.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Holland officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 8:00 a.m. Sunday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
