Scy Hibbard, Jr., 89, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. The Barbourville, KY native was the owner and operator of Scy's Used Cars, U S Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, former employee of Gerald Printing and Wagon Wheel and member of Three Springs Baptist Church. He was a former member of Inverness Chamber of Commerce and voted Citizen of the Year in Florida. He was a son of the late Scy A. Hibbard and Mary Ann Blanton Hibbard.
He is survived by his wife: Nancy C. Hibbard, Scottsville, KY;
3 sons: Michael Hibbard, Hopkinsville, KY; Doug Hibbard (Donna Schiess), Oakland, KY and Kim Hibbard, Scottsville, KY;
1 step son: Jeffery A. Page (Anita), Bowling Green, KY;
1 step daughter: Carol N. Downey (Steve), Bowling Green, KY;
A daughter-in-law: Rebecca Hibbard, Scottsville, KY;
His loving cat: Muffins;
3 brothers: Phil Hibbard (Pauline), Claude Hibbard (Donna) and Terry Hibbard (Barbara), all of Floral City, FL;
1 sister: Virginia Donaldson (Rudy), Barbourville, KY;
19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and
Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Patricia Ann Cooper Hibbard; 1 son: Ronnie Hibbard; 1 brother: Jerry Hibbard and 3 sisters: Bonnie Gilbreath, Joyce Shelton and Katie Feldman.
Funeral service will be 12:00 noon Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Hibbard and Steve Downey officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens with military honors by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Goad Funeral Home. The service can be viewed live on the Goad Funeral Home Facebook page beginning as 12:00 p.m.
