Russell Lones

Russell Lones, 78, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at his residence.  The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of the Kentucky State Highway Department for 29 years and attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church.  He was a son of the late Edward Lones and Geneva Higdon Lones and husband of the late Alice Faye Armour Lones. 

He is survived by 1 son:  Joseph Lones (Amy Parker), Scottsville, KY; 

2 daughters:  Donna Alford and Kelly Best, both of Scottsville, KY; 

His special friend:  Debbie Carter, Scottsville, KY; 

4 grandchildren:  Austin Lones, Zachary Best, Beth Coffee (Richie) and Wesley Alford; 

1 great grandson:  Jackson Coffee; 

2 step great grandchildren:  Evan Coffee and Bethany Coffee. 

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter:  Savannah Lones; 1 brother:  Donald Lones; 3 sisters:  Mary "Sissy" Wade, Hazel Witcher and Diana Lee. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday until funeral time.   Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Union Chapel United Methodist Church.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
