Roy Lee Blankenship

Roy Lee Blankenship, 68, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green.  The Scottsville, KY native was a former employee of Gunter Roofing, a farmer and attended River of Life and Full Gospel House of Prayer.  He was a son of the late Russell Blankenship and Lillie Gray Huffine Blankenship. 

He is survived by his wife of 46 years:  Shelia Blankenship, Scottsville, KY; 

1 son:  Joseph Lee Blankenship (Amy), Scottsville, KY; 

3 daughters:  RoxAnne Blankenship, London, KY and Brittany Blankenship and Makayla Plowman (Mikey), all of Scottsville, KY; 

4 brothers:  Neil Blankenship, Gary Blankenship, Tony Blankenship (Shelia) and Ricky Blankenship (Sue), all of Scottsville, KY; 

3 sisters:  Brenda Shockley and Libby Medley (Darrell), all of Scottsville, KY and Betty Dorris (Tom), Indianapolis, IN; 

9 grandchildren:  Madison, Arianna, Everleigh, Layla, John K., Jeremiah, John D., Damon and Hunter; 

2 great grandchildren:  Sunshine and Tucker-Lee. 

He was preceded in death by a brother:  Coy Blankenship. 

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Full Gospel House of Prayer with Bro. Todd Bullington and Bro. Ronnie Means officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 8:00 a.m. Saturday at Full Gospel House of Prayer.   In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
