Rosie Lee Steenbergen, 68, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker and attended Maple Grove General Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Emil Morgan Houchens and Jessie Guy Smith Houchens and wife of the late Charles Franklin Steenbergen.
She is survived by 2 sons: Timmy Steenbergen and wife, Annie and Charles Wayne Steenbergen and wife, Nan, all of Scottsville, KY;
3 daughters: Kathy Tharpe and husband, Mike and Michelle Tuck and husband, Troy, all of Scottsville, KY; Debbie Steenbergen, Fountain Run, KY;
6 brothers: Wendel Houchens; Billy Houchens (Frances); Donnie Houchens (Penny); Eugene Houchens (Louise); Roger Houchens and William Earl Houchens, all of Glasgow, KY;
2 sisters: Linda Faye Hill (Larry) and Patty Houchens, all of Glasgow, KY;
1 sister-in-law: Mary Rose Steenbergen, Scottsville, KY;
11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Franklin Houchens and Richard Houchens.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Jonathan Marsh, Jimmy Lyons and Troy Tuck officiating and burial in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday and after 7:00 A.M. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
