Rose Napier, 88, of Adolphus, KY passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. She was born in Akersville, KY to the late Rex Overton Stone and Stella Devencil Stinson Stone. Rose was an active member of Mt. Union Methodist Church and the Methodist Women's Group of which she held many office positions. She was a proud retired teacher of the Allen County School system where she taught English and typing for 30 years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and watching her grandchildren grow and prosper.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Weldon Napier, Adolphus, KY;
2 daughters: Julie Newton and husband, Mike, Bowling Green, KY and Jennifer Brown and husband, Vanous, Adolphus, KY;
4 grandchildren: Michael Newton (Sabrina), Bowling Green, KY; Nicholas Newton, Charlotte, NC; Benjamin Brown, Adolphus, KY and Emma Rose Brown, Murray, KY;
A sister-in-law: Laverne Napier, Glasgow, KY and
4 nieces.
She was preceded in death by an infant son: Terrell Lee Napier and a brother: Willis Joel Stone.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Union Methodist Church with Bro. Chay Smithson officiating and burial in Mt. Union Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mt. Union Methodist Women's Group. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
