Robert Owens Obituary
Robert Kenneth Owens, 78, of Scottsville, KY and formerly of Fairdale, KY, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Portsmouth, VA to the late William Harvey Owens and Vera Spurlock Owens. He was a retired truck driver for Wal-mart, former driver for Ryder Transport and U. S. Marine veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Victoria "Vickie" Owens, Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Robbie Owens, Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Suzanne Owens Rutledge and husband, David, Louisville, KY;
2 brothers: James Owens, the Halifax Community and Virgil Wayne Owens and wife, Marilyn, Hanford, CA;
4 grandchildren: Nathan Owens, Katie Owens, Taylor Rutledge Mattingly (Brad) and Tristen Rutledge;
2 great grandchildren: Easton Rutledge and Ida Grace Mattingly.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation was chosen, and Goad Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Halifax Fire Department. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
