Robert "Santa Bob" Allen

Robert "Santa Bob" Allen, 71, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 at his residence.  The Norwalk, CA native was a graduate of Marion School of Practical Nursing where he received his LPN degree, an accomplished artist and Brother in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  During his 30 years of nursing, he was employed by Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN and other hospitals in the Indianapolis, IN area.  Bob loved hunting and other outdoor activities, but his passion was being one of "Santa's helpers" during the Christmas season.  He was a son of the late Owen Burl Allen and Charlotte Bernetha Tuttle Allen. 

He is survived by his wife:  Linda Stiles Allen, Scottsville, KY; 

1 son:  Ryan Allen, Scottsville, KY; 

2 daughters:  Christy Allen Yeater, Noblesville, IN and Tiffany McCorkle and husband, Zach, Farmington, NH; 

2 brothers:  Richard Allen, Lebanon, MO and Steven Allen, Savoy, TX; 

4 grandchildren:  Jacob Yeater (McKayla), Clayton McCorkle, Olivia McCorkle and Owen Allen; 

1 great granddaughter:  Kynleigh Yeater;

A very close friend for 17 years:  Heather Gatewood, Scottsville, KY. 

He was preceded in death by a brother:  Raymond Allen. 

Funeral service will be 5:00 p.m. Monday at East Willow Church of God with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and cremation to follow.  Visitation will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday until funeral time at East Willow Church of God.  Goad Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  Donations may be place in the basket at the church or given at Goad Funeral Home.
