Rita Lynn Williams Tabor, 70, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired Registered Nurse for 41 years for Allen County War Memorial Hospital and Medical Center at Scottsville. She was the last director of nursing for Allen County War Memorial Hospital and clinical manager of acute care, OR and ER for Medical Center at Scottsville. She was the 5th baby born at Allen County War Memorial Hospital and assisted in the last baby born at this facility. She was a member of White Plains Baptist Church for 57 years, where she served as pianist, organist, director of the children's choir and Sunday school teacher. She was a member of Halifax Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxillary and former member of the Scottsville Woman's Club and Allen County Jayceettes. She was a daughter of the late Alvah Gordon "Doc" Williams and Helen Jean Greer Williams and wife of the late Julian Tabor.
She is survived by 2 sons: Wesley Tabor and wife, Bekah and David Tabor, all of Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Julianne Bewley and husband, Josh, Scottsville, KY;
1 step son: Stacy Tabor, Scottsville, KY;
1 sister: Beverly Gordon and husband, Paul, Winter Garden, FL;
1 uncle: Kenny Greer and wife, Renette, Whitesville, KY;
6 grandchildren: Marley, Levi, Kingston, Josalynn, Ivy Jane and Ryli;
4 step grandchildren: Andy, Austin, Katelyn and Zachary;
3 step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Edwards and Bro. Phil Rogers officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday and after 8:00 A.M. Sunday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
