Rev. Clessie Ray Lonas, 88, of Adolphus, KY passed away Monday at his residence. The Holland, KY native was a former employee of Davis Cabinet Company and member of May Hill Mission. He was a son of the late Walter D. "Doc" Lonas and Esther Doss Lonas and husband of the late Doris Jay Stinson Lonas and Linda Sue Calvert Lonas.
He is survived by his wife: Doris Kinslow Lonas, Adolphus, KY;
1 son: Carlos Lonas and wife, Tammy, Scottsville, KY;
2 daughters: Amy Williams, Glasgow, KY and Darla Johnson and husband, Bro. Lonnie, Scottsville, KY;
2 step daughters: Linda Cline and husband, Dylan and Brenda Howard, all of Scottsville, KY;
10 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, 3 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Loretta Gaston; 3 brothers: Cecil Lonas, Dessie Lonas and Jessie Lonas; 4 sisters: Essie Meador, Katherine Lonas, Tessie Carver and Bessie Tinsley.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Elvis Farley officiating and burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 7:00 A.M. Thursday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
