Reilus Ewing Oliver, 87, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, October 25, 2024 at Hospice House in Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was a farmer, a U.S. Army veteran, a former board member of Allen County War Memorial Hospital, Allen County Farmers Service, Youth, Inc. and Halifax Fire Department and member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where he served as church and cemetery trustee. He was a son of the late Seagle Oliver and Helen Myers Weaver Oliver,
He is survived by his wife: Carol Oliver, Scottsville, KY;
3 sons: Mark Oliver (Peggy Guy), Bowling Green, KY; Mitch Oliver and wife, Kim, Scottsville, KY; Michael Oliver and wife, Regina, Ashland City, TN;
1 daughter: Ashlee Oliver, Scottsville, KY;
2 brothers: Harold B. Oliver, Bowling Green, KY; Harry Lee Oliver, VA;
5 grandchildren: Brittany Scott (Johnny); Brandon Oliver (Lisa); Bethany Oliver; Jon Paul Oliver and Brooklyn Oliver;
3 great grandchildren: Rhealeigh Scott, Wyatt Oliver and Reed Oliver and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: A.R. Oliver and James Quince Oliver and 3 sisters: Annie Bell Sledge, Dessie Ree Montgomery and Mildred Ovaline Kitchens.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Johns and Bro. Ferrell Isenberg officiating and burial in Liberty Cemetery with Bro. Keith Patrick officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 7:00 A.M. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
