Norris Dale Jones

Norris Dale Jones, 73, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN following an extended battle with cancer.  He was born in Glasgow, KY to the late Sam Wesley Jones and Ruth Hogue Jones.  Norris was a 1969 graduate of Scottsville High School where he was a star baseball and basketball athlete.  He attended Eastern Kentucky University and spent his career in construction and construction management.  He worked on the Hartsville Nuclear Plant Project, Opryland Hotel additions and various industrial and hospital expansions across the U.S. and was the owner of N. D. Jones Construction Company.  Norris was a Kentucky Colonel recipient and loved sports, especially golf and horse racing. 

He is survived by 1 nephew:  Chris McClard and wife, Judy, Tompkinsville, KY;

His trusted friend:  Danny Holland and wife, Joy, Scottsville, KY;

Former wife:  Judy Hayes Jones, Gallatin, TN and

Numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister:  Gayle McClard and her husband, Murl Ray, and a nephew:  John Daniel McClard.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Holland officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, P. O. Box 290369, 525 Royal Parkway, Nashville, TN  37229-0369.
