Nellie Casteel Obituary
Nellie Dianna Casteel, 79, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green. She was born in Houston, TX to the late Homer Huleon Currie and Nellie Leona Powell Currie. She was a former employee of Benchmark Physical Therapy, a Baptist and member of the C. O. R. E.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Krickette Neal and Michaelle Casteel Lovett (Russell), all of Scottsville, KY and Shenandoah Casteel (James Carwell), Dalton GA;
4 grandchildren: Zachary Casteel, Brandon Lovett (Aylee), Cameron Lovett and Sierra Cooper (Justin);
5 great grandchildren: Brooks Lovett, Briggs Lovett, Kyran Cooper, Kamdyn Cooper and Hadleigh Cooper.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Danny Currie.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation was chosen and Goad Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
