Mildred Gregory (Cox) Read

Mildred Gregory Read, 82, of Adolphus, KY passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY.  She was born in Gallatin, TN to the late Benjamin Harrison Cox and Corine Borders Cox.  She was a former employee of Washington Overall Manufacturing, General Electric and A. O. Smith.  Mildred was the wife of the late Billy Gene Gregory and David H. Read. 

She is survived by 1 son:  Robbie Gregory, Scottsville, KY; 

3 daughters:  Teresa Cowles, Bowling Green, KY; Vickie Burnley and husband, Jimmy, and Lisa Carter, all of Adolphus, KY; 

10 grandchildren:  Brandon Cowles, Jamie Vincent (Branden), Jay Burnley (Melissa), Ashli Sorrels (Alex), Colby Carter, Ben Burnley, Michael Carter (Makayla), Tammi Turner (Brian), Jason Carter (Dawn) and Rodney Carter (Christa); 

13 great grandchildren:  Charli, Haley, Gunner, Broady, Merritt, Abbey, Emery, Aaron, Isaac, Eli, Gage, Kyle and Kayla; 

2 great great grandchildren:  Avery and Finley. 

She was preceded in death by 2 sons-in-law:  Levi Carter and Benton Cowles and 2 brothers:  Robert Leon Cox and David "Duke" Cox. 

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with burial in Oak Forest No. 1 Cemetery.  Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
