Margie Walker Leocadio, 90, of Scottsville, KY departed this life with family by her side on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Greenwood Nursing & Rehab in Bowling Green, KY. After retiring as an LPN from T. J. Samson Hospital, she continued her love of cooking, baking and canning vegetables, jellies and juices grown in her own garden. Her love of March Madness and the card game Euchre was matchless. Margie was born October 22, 1930 in Louisville, KY to the late Ivan Lucille "Jack" Lethig and Helen Elizabeth Gaddie Lethig. She was preceded in death by her husband Domingo Perez Leocadio in 1992.
She is survived by 2 sons: Terrance "Terry" Neal Walker and William Arthur "Artie" Walker and wife, Sherry, all of New Albany, IN;
2 daughters: Cheryl Ann Walker Burns, Flintstone, MD and Mary Lee Snow and husband, Frank, Sumter, SC;
7 grandchildren: Bryan Whitler (Amy), Robert "Bobby" Allen Whitler III (Jessica), Carlie Zimmerman (Andy), William Arthur Walker, Jr., Ashley Strauss (Bart), Michelle Cassidy (Ben), Stephanie Bielefeld (Eric);
8 great grandchildren and
Special cousins: Patsy and Vicki Catlett, Louisville, KY.
A celebration of life will be 3:00 p.m. Friday at Smiths Grove United Methodist Church with Bro. Andy Wade officiating. Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Scottsville Animal Shelter or Smiths Grove United Methodist Church, 333 North Main Street, Smiths Grove, KY 42171. Goad Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
