Malissa Shawn (Hooten) Sullivan

Malissa Shawn Hooten Sullivan, 37, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at her residence.  The Glasgow, KY native was a homemaker, 2000 graduate of Allen County Scottsville High, former employee of Eckerd Drugs, Smuckers and Sumitomo and member of Pleasant Grove General Baptist Church.  She was saved at the age of 12 and baptized in Long Creek.  She was a daughter of the late Jimmy Roger Hooten and Donna Lee Meador Barnes, who survives. 

She is survived by her husband:  Jesse Allen Sullivan, Scottsville, KY; 

1 daughter:  Reagan Sullivan, Scottsville, KY; 

Her mother:  Donna Meador Barnes and companion, Sharon Miller, Scottsville, KY; 

A step daughter:  Jessica Sullivan and her daughter, Gracie Gullett, Scottsville, KY; 

1 sister:  Brandi Sullivan and husband, Joe, Scottsville, KY; 

A brother-in-law:  Nathan Sullivan and wife, Debora, Fountain Run, KY; 

An aunt:  Willie Throop and husband, Alan, Indianapolis, IN; 

2 nephews:  Lincoln and Benjamin Sullivan; 

1 niece:  Savannah Sullivan;

Special friends:  Kyle Stinson; Lori, Jason and Jacob Sloan; Jack and Jean Hanes, Judy Meador and Linda Douglas. 

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents:  Bro. Earl and Vera Meador. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Huntsman and Bro. Jeff Keen officiating and burial in Mt. Union Methodist Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses.  Donations maybe made at Goad Funeral Home.
