Lucille Meador, 82, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The Portland, TN native was a retired employee of A.O. Smith, a homemaker, former employee of Washington Overall Manufacturing and General Electric and member of Scottsville Old Fashioned Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Noah Robert Smart and Nell Hunter Smart and wife of the late Elder Johnny W. Meador.
She is survived by 3 sons: Steve Meador and wife, Debbie and Elder Lonnie Meador and wife, Patricia, all of Adolphus, KY; Elder Mark Meador and wife, Amy, Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Debbie Kay Meador, Scottsville, KY;
10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren and 3 step great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews;
She was preceded in death by 5 sisters: Hattie Mae Phillips, Pauline Crawley, Rebecca Garrett, Ruth Roberts and infant, Nettie Bell Smart; 2 brothers: Robert Smart and James Smart.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Scottsville Old-Fashioned Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Eric Phillips and Elder Rickey Brooks officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday until funeral time at Scottsville Old-Fashioned Missionary Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Scottsville Old-Fashioned Missionary Baptist Church. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
