Louise Shockley Payne, 89, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, July 6, 2026 at Cal Turner Rehab and Specialty Care. The Scottsville, KY native was a former employee of Washington Overall Manufacturing and Dollar General and a member of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Johnny Clyde Shockley and Gracie Belle Stinson Shockley and wife of the late Charles Lewis Payne.
She is survived by 1 daughter: Darnell Wade and husband, Tim, Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Stacy Lewis Payne, Nashville, TN;
1 brother: Dennis Shockley, Scottsville, KY;
Special cousins: Gerald and Linda Shockley, Scottsville, KY;
Several nieces, nephews and other cousins.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother: Carline "Red" Shockley.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Hale officiating and burial in Red Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 7:00 A.M. Friday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Red Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
