Louise Minix Carver, 94, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care. The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker and member of Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church. Louise was saved at and joined Mt. Gilead in 1983 and remained a member until her death. She was a daughter of the late Daniel Franklin "Tucker" Minix and Nettie Pearl Reynolds Minix and wife of the late James William Carver.
She is survived by 2 sons: Dennis R. Carver and wife, Sharon, and Sammy K. Carver, all of Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Jeanetta Steenbergen and husband, Jesse, Scottsville, KY;
4 grandchildren: Pam Ragland (Jason), Karen Oliver (Clint), Steven Carver (Amanda) and Nathan Carver;
6 great grandchildren: Austin Carver (Jonna), John Michael Oliver (Michala), Kaylee Ray (Tyler), Andrea Wesley (Zac), Taylor Layton and Katelyn Carver;
5 great great grandchildren and 2 unborn great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 5 sisters: Myrtle Minix, Ida Mae Binnion, Ruby D. Howard, Dorothy Lee Blankenship and Lucille Minix and 2 brothers: Thurman Minix and Garnie Minix.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Owen Minix officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
