Lois Jean Jansen, 76, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was born in Murphysboro, IL to the late George Edward Larison and Helen Elizabeth Koen Larison. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Leroy Lawrence Jansen. She was a homemaker, former cafeteria employee at General Motors in Bowling Green, former deli employee at Wal-mart in Franklin, KY and a huge UK basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She was an active member of Christ the King Church and "King's Angels." Lois Jean was intelligent, a lover of history and had an incredible memory and could tell so many stories of the past. She loved her family dearly.
She is survived by a daughter: Krista Soelke (Robert), Bowling Green, KY;
1 son: Bruce Jansen (Sandy Keen), Scottsville, KY;
2 sisters: Norma Harrison, Herrin, IL and Doris Harrison (Terry), Hurst, IL;
4 grandchildren: Alexis Jansen (Payne Spears), Jack Soelke, Ava Soelke and Mattie Soelke;
1 great granddaughter: Emryn Leigh Spears.
She was preceded in death by a son: Brian Jansen.
Funeral mass will be at 12:00 noon Saturday at Christ The King Catholic Church with Father Tom Buckman officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Christ The King Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to Christ The King Catholic Church.
