Linda Gail (Mathis) Mathis

Linda Gail Mathis, 65, of Smiths Grove, KY passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025 at her residence.  The Beech Grove, Indiana native was a former employee of Sumitomo and former cook for several local restaurants.  She was a daughter of the late Billy J. Mathis and Donna Jean Sutton Mathis.

She is survived by 1 son: Jamie Mathis (Destiny), Scottsville, KY;

2 daughters: Wendy Mathis, Smiths Grove, KY and Karen Carver (Gary), Scottsville, KY;

2 brothers: Jerry Mathis (Vicky), Russellville, KY and Billy Mathis (Niki), Somerset, KY;

2 sisters: Sherry Mathis (Kevin), Smiths Grove, KY and Susan Johnson (David), Madison, IN;

15 grandchildren: David Dismond, Destiny Scott, Justice Schwartz, Jerika Mathis, Jessika Mathis, Chloe Mathis, Kenzie Mathis, Hunter Mathis, Dyllan Marr, Destiny Marr, Taylor Copas, Brody Copas, Nona White, Sheldon Smith and Chelsey Smith;

19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Cheryl Carver; 1 son: Jeremy Mathis and 1 sister: Karen Mathis Shrum.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with burial in Chestnut Point Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
