Leah (Young) Carter

Leah Young Carter, 47, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green.  She was a retired employee of Allen County Intermediate Center, former dental assistant for Dr. Chisholm and member of Pleasant Home Missionary Baptist Church.  

She is survived by her husband:  Greg Carter, Scottsville, KY; 

Her parents:  Rickie and Janet Young, Scottsville, KY;

1 son:  Wesley Cole Cunningham, Scottsville, KY; 

1 daughter:  Molly Caroline Cunningham, Scottsville, KY; 

1 step son:  Tyler Sean Carter, Bowling Green, KY; 

1 step daughter:  Kirsten Dean Carter, Hendersonville, TN;

1 sister:  Laura Wolfe and husband, Brad, Scottsville, KY; 

2 nieces:  Kailey Wolfe and Ada Beth Bass and husband, Devin; 

1 nephew:  Dawson Wolfe. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Derek Marr and Bro. Chris Vernon officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 7:00 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky or Allen County Special Olympics.
