Larry Piper, 68, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, January 10, 2025 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired jailer of Allen County Detention Center for 14 years, a former supervisor at Allen County Transfer Station for 13 years, a member of Scottsville F.O.P Lodge #36, Barren River Fishing League, FTF, Kentucky Jailer's Association and former member of Renegade Marine Twin Lake Division. He was a son of the late Carline Piper and Addie Evelyn Dalton Piper.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Piper, Scottsville, KY;
2 daughters: Christy Renee Cornwell and Brandi Nicole Piper Cox (Joseph Henson), all of Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Billy Clay Marsh (Angela), Scottsville, KY;
3 brothers: Bud Piper, Wayne Piper and Donnie Piper (Faith), all of Scottsville, KY;
3 sisters: Kathleen Stephens (Dave) and Barbara Scott (Billy Martin), all of Scottsville, KY; Susie Williams (Arthur), Tipton, IN;
A special brother: Don Stinson (Teresa), Scottsville, KY;
4 grandchildren: Wesley Cornwell, Dillon Cornwell (Kenzie), Ethan Cox and Layten Marsh;
1 great grandchild: Piper Rae Cornwell and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother: Jimmy Neal Piper; 1 sister: Betty Jo Brooks and 1 son-in-law: Richie Cornwell.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Tabor and Bro. Gary Pardue officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Russell Mills officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, 7:00 A.M to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and 7:00 A.M Friday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
