Larry Hooten, 69, of Scottsville, KY passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of Kendall and Berry Plastics and member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He was a son of the late Raymond Blonville Hooten and Ruby Ester Blankenship Hooten.
He is survived by his wife: Jo Hooten, Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Christina Hooten Alessio and husband, Louis, Hubbard, OH;
A special son: Brian Hooten, Scottsville, KY;
3 brothers: Tommy Hooten and wife, Cindy, and W. L. Hooten, all of Scottsville, KY and Frank Hooten, Morgantown, KY;
1 sister: Cathenia Henke and husband, Bob, Cincinnati, OH;
2 grandsons: Anthony and Santino Alessio;
Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: B. J., Jimmy and James Hooten.
Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Louis Alessio officiating and burial in Clifton Cemetery. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
