Larry Franklin Bower

Larry Franklin Bower, 82, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026 at his residence.  He was born in Lafayette, IN to the late Marion Eugene Bower and Mary Etta Richardson Bower.  He was a retired employee of General Electric and A. O. Smith, U. S. Army veteran and member of Concord Church at Trammel Creek. 

He is survived by 2 sons:  Joe Bower and wife, Jeanie, and Anthony Bower and fiancee', Brena, all of Scottsville, KY; 

2 daughters:  Jenetta Smith, IN and Anna Bower, Minnesota; 

1 sister:  Carolyn Wagoner, Mattoon, IL; 

12 grandchildren:  Trista Haas, Brock Brown, Brandon Bower, Cori Hall (Kyle), Cassie Bower, Caitlin Spearman (Conner), Cinzie Bower, Chanler Bower, Kaleigh Alsdorf, Ryker Bower, Landon Bower and Avari Bower; 

9 great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wives:  Mary Dean Anderson Bower and Joyce Ann Hoover Bower and a son:  Rex Bower. 

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Stamps officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Allen County Memorial Gardens.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
