Kolby Lane Cooper, 2, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, July 31 2024 at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN. The Scottsville, KY native was a son of Derrick Douglas Cooper and Elizabeth Ann Shockley Cooper, who survive.
He is survived by his parents: Derrick and Elizabeth Cooper, Scottsville, KY;
1 sister: Charlee Bell Bell, Scottsville, KY;
His maternal grandparents: Tim and Denise Shockley, Scottsville, KY;
His paternal grandparents: Larry and Terri Cooper, St. Mary of the Woods, IN;
His maternal great grandparents: Faye Shockley and Charlie and Jeretta Guy, all of Scottsville, KY;
His paternal great grandparents: Sally Lowe (Jim) and Ruth Cooper, West Terre Haute, IN;
2 aunts: Laura Faye Thompson (Chad Qualls), Scottsville, KY; Kerri Cooper (Ed Newman), West Terre Haute, IN;
1 uncle David "D.D." Tabor, Scottsville, KY;
Several great uncles, great aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather: Billy Shockley and paternal great grandfather: Albert Cooper.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Edwards and Bro. Charlie Ausbrooks officiating and burial in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday and after 8:00 A.M. Sunday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home. In honor of Kolby's favorite color, please consider wearing blue if you plan to attend the service.
