Kathy (Whitney) Gillock

Kathy Whitney Gillock, 67, of Alvaton, KY passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 at her residence.  The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker and a daughter of the late Loren Edward Whitney and Ruby Lee Martin Whitney and wife of the late Herbert Ray Gillock.

She is survived by 5 daughters: Delta Simmons (Leslie); Martina Pearson (Brad) and Brandy Scruggs (Christopher), all of Scottsville, KY; Chanda Marcrum and husband, Wesley, Lawrenceburg, KY and Barbie Scruggs (Brandon), Horse Cave, KY;

2 brothers: Kenneth Whitney (Sandra) and Jerry Whitney (India), all of Scottsville, KY;

1 sister: Wanda Wright (Tim), Scottsville, KY;

1 brother-in-law: Eddie Johnson, Scottsville, KY;

11 grandchildren: Caleb Cosby, Katie Simmons, Cole Simmons, Arwen Marcrum, Shelby Pearson, J.T. Pearson, Ellie Pearson, Annika Miller, Drake Miller, Raylee Miller and Zane Stinson;

4 great grandchildren: Lainey Cosby, Wrenley Strode, Bexleigh Strode and Onyx Strode.

She was preceded in death by 4 sisters: Barbara Whitney, Lisa Carol Whitney, Lena Henson and Kay Johnson; 2 brothers: Pete Whitney and Larry Whitney.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Owen Minix, Bro. Marvey B Wood and Karen Foster officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 12:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday and after 8:00 A.M. Sunday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
