John Trent, Jr. Obituary
John H. "Jack" Trent, Jr., 89, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, September 29, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Bloomington, IL to the late John Harold Trent, Sr. and Ida Wilson Trent. Jack was a farmer, former employee of Mid West Abrasives and various nursing homes. He attended Freedom Hill Church when his health permitted.
He is survived by 2 sons: John H. Trent III and wife, Gayle, Gardnerville, NV and Johnie Trent, Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Geneva Bentley, Scottsville, KY;
3 grandchildren: Melissa McKinney (Jason); Trent Bentley and Shana Bentley (Jacob Remenecz);
3 great grandchildren: Jackson McKinney, Robbie McKinney and Jenna Trent.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Ruth Marie Spitler Trent; 1 daughter: Sue Ann Trent; 1 son: Naiche Trent; 1 grandson: Jon Trent and 1 sister: Janet Randall.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation was chosen and Goad Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
