Jo Ava (Witcher) Cherry

Jo Ava Cherry, 74, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at her daughter's residence.  She was born July 7, 1951 to the late Carline Witcher and Dorothy Viola Clark Witcher.  She was a former employee of Cornerstone Manor, Federal Mogul, Washington Overall Manufacturing and a 1969 graduate of Scottsville High School.  Jo Ava loved to read and collected many books. 

She is survived by 1 daughter: Lee Ann Myers and husband, Glen, Scottsville, KY;

1 sister: Vicki Stice, Alvaton, KY;

1 brother-in-law: Tom Pichon, Danville, IL;

2 grandchildren: Kelsey Myers and Kati Ream;

1 great grandchild: Grady Cole Ream;

3 nephews: Brandon Stice, Jordan Stice and Daniel Woodcock and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1 son: Chris Witcher; 1 sister: Carolyn Woodcock Pichon; 2 brothers-in-law: Marshall Woodcock and Roger Stice and several other siblings.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Marvey B Wood officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 7:00 A.M. Thursday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
