Jimmy Marsh, 80, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, August 12, 2024 at his residence. The Scottsville, KY native was a 1962 graduate of Allen County High School, graduate of WKU where he received his Associate Degree in Agriculture, retired employee of the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, retired employee of the Allen County Animal Shelter, member of the 101st Division of the Army Reserves, farmer and animal lover, antique car enthusiast, member of Union Chapel Methodist Church, member of Scottsville F. O. P,, former member and past president of the Allen County Jaycees and lifetime member of Halfrey Dalton VFW Post 5712. Jimmy was a lifetime member of AQHA; member, past president and former judge of KQHA, honorary member of FFA, honorary Commissioner of Agriculture, one of a three member team of FFA Dairy Judging receiving the Kentucky Grand Champion at the 1961 Kentucky State Fair and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a son of the late James William Marsh, Sr. and Maxie Nell Kendall Marsh.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Carol Sapp Marsh, Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Justin Marsh, Scottsville, KY;
2 daughters: Carey Marsh and fiance', Chris Towe, Scottsville, KY and Amy Marsh Clark and husband, Austin, Bowling Green, KY;
2 brothers: Tommy Marsh and wife, Laura, Brooksville, FL and Danny Marsh, Scottsville, KY;
4 grandchildren: Riley Marsh, James Cooper Marsh, Avy Clark and Autry Clark;
2 step grandsons: Caleb Clark and Conner Clark.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Maxie McGuffey and Bro. Keith Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery with military honors by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Union Chapel Methodist Church or Union Chapel Cemetery. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
