Jim Smith

Jim Smith, 70, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, May 29, 2026 at Tri-Star Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.  He was born in Elizabethtown, KY to the late James Thomas Smith,Sr. and Frances Lee Simpson Smith.  Jim was a former retail manager for Lowes, retired owner and operator of Ace Hardware in Bowling Green and attended Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his wife:  Tammy Pearson Smith, Scottsville, KY; 

1 son:  Jamie Smith, Scottsville, KY; 

2 brothers:  Hugh Smith and wife, Regina, and Tim Smith and wife, Debby, all of Elizabethtown, KY; 

2 sisters:  Teresa Powell and Mona Payton and husband, Dale, all of Elizabethtown, KY. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Reid and Bro. Daniel Tinsley officiating and burial in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Mt. Lebanon Cemetery or the Haley Sue Foundation.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
