Jerry Bruce Vandiver, 89, of Scottsville, KY went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 4, 2025. He was born in Manila, AR to the late Charles David Vandiver and Ruby Mae Hamilton Vandiver. He was united in marriage to Mary Beauchamp on September 12, 1959 in St. Louis, MO. He was a retired employee of General Motors and a WW II Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Beauchamp Vandiver, Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Jeffrey A. Vandiver, Scottsville, KY;
1 daughter: Joan Yates and husband, Tim, Portland, TN;
2 sisters: Laura Holzlander and Lillian Bradford, both of Rochelle, IL;
3 grandchildren: Jason Vandiver (Becky), St. Louis, MO; Joshua Vandiver (Madison), Scottsville, KY and Heather Kirkham (Brad), Portland, TN;
6 great grandchildren: Devon, Owen and Allison Vandiver; Daniel, Noah and Hadley Jo Kirkham;
1 step granddaughter: Sabrian Cowan (Casey), Kyle, TX;
2 step great grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Marlee Cowan.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Wanda Naylor and 6 brothers: John, Bobby, Carl, Jimmy, Richard and Gary Vandiver.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with Dr. Shawn Watson officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home.
