Jerry Spears Obituary
Jerry Neal Spears, 86, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at his residence. The Scottsville, KY native was a 1957 graduate of Scottsville High School, retired foreman of Holley Carburetor where he worked for 35 1/2 years, and member of Mt. Union General Baptist Church where he formerly served as Sunday School teacher and song leader. He was a son of the late Eddie A. Spears and Nina Mavie Rich Spears and husband of the late Betty Thacker Spears.
He is survived by 2 sons: Craig Spears, Louisville, KY and Stacy Spears and wife, Erica, Lakeland, FL;
A special daughter: Barbara Mahaney and husband, Bo, Scottsville, KY;
2 granddaughters: Joy Spears and Grace Spears;
A special grandson: Hunter Mahaney.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Union General Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Mason Harris officiating.
