Jerry Powell

Jerry Powell, 80, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  He was a retired farm manager for Cal Turner Farms where he worked for 28 years, a loving Pa and Great Grandpa, member and deacon of Clifton General Baptist Church, member of the Allen County Cattleman's Association, formerly chosen as a Master Conservationist and loved going to the CORE.  Jerry was born in Glasgow, KY to the late Edgar "Pete" Powell and Thelma Christine Hurt Powell. 

He is survived by his wife:  Sue Powell, Scottsville, KY; 

2 sons:  Brian Powell and wife, Lisa, Crestwood, KY and Jeff Powell and wife, Valerie, Scottsville, KY; 

1 brother:  Rogers Powell and wife, Patsy, Scottsville, KY; 

A brother-in-law:  Dale Cummings, Scottsville, KY; 

6 grandchildren:  Summer Adams (Tristan), Kassi Alsip (Zach), Krystina Keen (Justin), Nate Powell, Olivia Powell and Megan Kopecky (Derek); 

5 great grandchildren:  Kaylen Keen, Piper Keen, Nash Alsip, London Alsip and Kellar Adams.

He was preceded in death by a sister:  Suzie Cummings. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2024 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Bryan Borth and Bro. Jon Wesley Kirby officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 7:00 a.m. Friday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
