Jerry Ray Oakes, 88, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at his residence. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired employee of General Motors and member of Woodbury Baptist Church in Morgantown, KY. He was a son of the late Wesley Clarence Oakes and Florence Avo Mitchell Oakes and husband of the late Lometa Ann "Pat" Bull Oakes.
He is survived by 1 daughter: Kimberly Ann Seals, Bowling Green, KY;
1 sister: Sue Martin, Bowling Green, KY;
3 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 1 son: David Wayne Oakes; 2 brothers: Clarence Oakes and Ronnie Oakes and 1 sister: Ruby Lou Ross.
Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Dover Cemetery with Bro. Charlie Patterson officiating. Goad Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
