James Eric "Ricky" Calvert

James Eric "Ricky" Calvert, 71, of Fountain Run, KY passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care.  The Scottsville, KY native was a former employee of the Glasgow Post Office and Barren River State Park and a U. S. Air Force veteran.  He was a son of the late William Jesse Calvert and Lola B. Napier Calvert. 

He is survived by 3 sons:  Chad Eric Calvert and wife, Kema, Brownwood, TX; Jason Kyle Calvert and wife, Tanesha and Jesse Benjamin Calvert, all of Scottsville, KY; 

2 brothers:  Joe Calvert and wife, Dorothy, Greenfield, IN and Todd Calvert and wife, Jeanine, Scottsville, KY; 

1 sister:  Kathy Szekendi and husband, Ron, Scottsville, KY; 

The children's mother:  Carolyn Goodrum, Scottsville, KY; 

A sister-in-law:  Jewell Keen, Scottsville, KY; 

9 grandchildren:  Taylor Calvert, Ethan Calvert, Abby Calvert, Hayden Calvert, Cannon Calvert, Ryker Calvert, Brady Calvert, Gracie Calvert and Kylee Calvert;

Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother:  Bill Calvert.  

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
