James "Cotton" Berry

James "Cotton" Berry, 76, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday  May 24, 2023 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.  The Scottsville, KY native was a former employee of Marvin Wood Lumber Company and Clifty Farms and a member of Open Door Outreach Church.  He was a son of the late Clyde Estil Berry and Lois Adell Medley Berry and husband of the late Toy Louise Tinsley Berry and Era Mae Wilkerson Berry. 

He is survived by 2 sons:  James David Berry and wife, Cindy, and Jason Daniel Berry and wife, Dee, all of Glasgow, KY; 

2 daughters:  April Gail Perry and husband, Ronnie, Jr., and Tina Devore, all of Scottsville, KY; 

1 sister-in-law:  Carolyn Berry, Scottsville, KY; 

9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and 

Several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by a grandson:  Joshua Wayne Perry; 2 sisters:  Jo Etta Harp and Diane Napier; 2 brothers:  Charles Berry and Jessie Berry. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Shockley officiating and burial in Chestnut Point Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
