Jack D. Cook, lovingly called HOTTEA, 81, of Plainfield, IN passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Millers Merry Manor in Mooresville, IN. He was a retired truck driver, former employee of Ferguson Trucking Company, a Christian and member of Teamsters Local #135. He was a son of the late Okla Cecil Cook and Addie Carleen Graves Cook.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Shirley A. Cook, Plainfield, IN;
1 son: James Douglas Cook, Plainfield, IN;
2 daughters: Barbara Weatherington (Andrew), Huntington, IN; Carleen Nichols (Mark), Plainfield, IN;
A daughter-in-law: Sandy Cook, Cloverdale, IN;
8 grandchildren: Dustin Litton (Heather); Joshua Litton (Lindsey); Ethan Cook; Trent Cook (Shiann); Steven Todd; Jason Todd; Jordan Cook and Jacob Cook;
5 great grandchildren: Olivia Litton; Krissy Litton; Maddy Litton; Elise Cook and Jack Cook.
He was preceded in death by 1 son: John Davis Cook; 1 brother: Billy Cook; 3 sisters: Margaret Calvert, Sue Miller and Betty Manuel.
Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with burial in Union Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
