Irene (Bridgeman) Martin

Irene Martin, 87, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at her residence.  The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker, loving mother and a daughter of the late Virgil Dixon Bridgeman and Anna Lois Cushenberry Bridgeman and wife of the late William Garnett Martin.

She is survived by 3 sons: Roger Martin and wife, Lisa; Randy Martin and Tracy Martin, all of Scottsville, KY;

4 daughters: Charlotte Shields, Franklin, KY; Edna Brown, Vonda Stinson and Diane Witcher, all of Scottsville, KY;

31 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 3 sons: Ricky, Billy and Jeff Martin; 4 grandchildren: Billy Martin, Walker Martin, Jeff Anderson and Scotty Anderson; 1 brother: Ralph Bridgeman; 3 sisters: Doris Woods, Louise Harrison and Lois Dean Bridgeman.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Calvert officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 7:00 A.M. Thursday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, expresssions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
